The University Hospital ‘Vittorio Emanuele’ in Catania, offering the widest choice of health care services, has recently been restructured in order to offer the users even better quality standards. For hospital applications, special care has to be taken for the ventilation equipment, whose characteristics normally have to include accessibility of internal components, reliability of moving parts, easy cleaning process. These features can be found in the “L” range of air handling units used in this application, forerunner range to the actual FLEX units, improved following the most recent European manufacturing norms.
